soos : soos

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Duncan Speakman and Paul Clarke from Uninvited Guests : Public Performance: Nuffield Artists Summer School 2010

Presented by Nuffield Theatre Lancaster and taking place at the Storey Creative Industries Centre and in the streets of Lancaster

Ghosting Lancaster
Imagine walking through a film, but it’s happening on the streets you live in – it’s a film without cameras.

Come and see the results of this year's summer school, led by Bristol-based sound artist Duncan Speakman and Paul Clarke from performance company Uninvited Guests. Over this week Paul and Duncan are delivering a 6-day school exploring how mobile technologies in performance can reframe and fictionalise real spaces.

On the final day, Friday 6th Aug, you are invited to listen (via headphones) and witness the fruits of their labour in a performance of sorts in Lancaster city centre. The nature and location of the presentation is yet to be decided… all we know now is that at a specified place between 2pm and 4pm, something will happen! If you are intrigued by the process and interested in the outcome, keep those hours free and we’ll keep you updated throughout the week and inform you of final details. This performance is free but you must sign up in advance. Audience capacity is limited to 20. For further details contact Ele via e.kinchin-smith@lancaster.ac.uk
